Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC)’s Chief Executive Officer, Mian Kashif Ashfaq, has revealed that a high-level Turkish furniture delegation has been invited to Pakistan to explore collaboration for joint ventures and investment prospects.
Talking to a delegation of furniture manufacturers led by Araib Arain in Lahore on Thursday, Ashfaq, who recently conducted fruitful virtual meetings with Turkish furniture manufacturers, highlighted that both Turkish and Pakistani furniture industries are significant global players. Collaboration between the two nations in the furniture sector holds the promise of exciting opportunities, including the exchange of expertise, technology, and design concepts, resulting in the production of unique, high-quality furniture products. This partnership could also facilitate market access, potentially leading to increased trade and economic benefits for both countries, said Ashfaq.
The visit by the Turkish delegation is seen as an exciting opportunity for businesses in both countries to strengthen their ties, explore potential investments, and embark on joint ventures within the furniture industry. Such collaboration is expected to drive economic growth for Turkey and Pakistan, he said.
Turkey’s furniture industry is renowned for its craftsmanship, innovation, and the use of high-quality materials, he said, adding that, Turkey’s strategic location at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East positions Pakistan as a potential hub for furniture exports.
