KARACHI: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has deployed its engineering and vigilance teams to monitor gas distribution system throughout Sindh and Balochistan. According to an SSGC spokesman on Saturday, the step has been taken on the instructions of Petroleum and Natural Resources Minister Dr Asim Hussain to protect the system from possible floods in the wake of devastating rains. The engineering and vigilance teams would also help in resolving any problem, which might arise in the wake of rains and floods in the company’s network area, he added. However, he said SSGC’s network was completely safe and operations were continuing as normal.
