Global action urged to protect Palestinians
Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), Senior Deputy Convener Syed Mustafa Kamal, called upon the Muslim Ummah and global human rights organisations to take action to protect Palestinians from the brutal attacks by Israel.
Speaking to a rally, organised by his party outside the Hyderabad press club on Sunday, Kamal expressed his deep concern over the relentless violence in which Israel has not spared even newborns, children, women, and the elderly.
He lamented the global community’s apparent indifference to these acts of brutality.
“Gaza is in a dire state, with shortages of water and electricity, and even hospitals are coming under bombardment. Educational and healthcare facilities, as well as refugee camps, are being targeted, a situation not commonly witnessed even in full-fledged wars,” Kamal stated.
He cautioned that if Muslim nations fail to take a stand, Israel, with the support of its Western allies, will continue its attacks on innocent Palestinians.
Kamal praised the resilience of the Palestinian people who have made great sacrifices to protect Baitul Muqadas.
He urged other mainstream political parties to unite the Pakistani nation by organising similar rallies and demonstrations in solidarity with Palestine. Molana Taj Muhammad Nahiyon from Jamaat-e-Ulema-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) warned that Israel would face a fate similar to that of Russia and the US in Afghanistan, emphasising that Jihad, rather than nuclear weapons, holds the true power in case Israel continues on its current path.

He decried the killing of minor children in front of their parents in Palestine and the targeting of people seeking medical treatment, including pregnant women in hospitals. He also questioned the whereabouts of international human rights organisations and the United Nations, wondering why they have not intervened effectively. Present on the occasion, Allama Haider Abbass Zaidi advised Muslims to boycott products from the US and Israel.
