Two soldiers martyred, as many terrorists killed

Sanitisation is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area, says ISPR

Two soldiers embraced martyrdom while as many terrorists were killed in two fierce encounters in North and South Waziristan districts, the military’s media wing said on Monday.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations, the first engagement occurred in the general area of Asman Munza, South Waziristan, where “own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location as a result of which one terrorist was sent to hell, while 1x terrorist got injured”.

However, the ISPR said, “during intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Sajid Azam (age 31 years, resident of Kotli, Azad Kashmir) having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat”.

The statement added that in another intense fire exchange between own troops and terrorists in the general area of Miran Shah, North Waziristan; “one terrorist was sent to hell, whereas a brave son of soil, Sepoy Waris Khan (age 27 years, resident of District Karak) paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat”.

“Sanitisation is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area. Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.”
