Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SESSI) authorities have transferred the whistle-blower who had raised alarm over illegal appointments in back dates, sources in the institution revealed.
The Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SESSI) violating injunction by the Sindh High Court went ahead with regularisation of illegal appointments made in the past.
Despite clear instructions from the Sindh High Court, SESSI administration has made approximately 1,800 appointments ranging from Grade 2 to Grade 17, officials told Daily Express requesting anonymity due to fear of action from top officers.
The senior officer responsible for identifying illegal appointments, Dr Omar Channa, has been transferred. Dr Omar Channa had previously refused to join the illegal employees hired in the past and had reported the matter to the SESSI headquarters in writing.
On questioning by the Sindh Labour Department Secretary Sharjeel Ahmed, about appointments made in the past, SESSI transferred Dr Channa.
