Emotional scenes unfolded on Friday as former Member of the National Assembly (MNA) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sadaqat Ali Abbasi made a poignant return home in Islamabad, marking the end of his four-month disappearance, Express News reported.
In a video shared on the microblogging site X, Abbasi was captured ascending the stairs of his residence, where he rushed to embrace his elderly mother and two daughters. Tears welled up in the eyes of all three as they reunited with the PTI leader.

Abbasi had been detained on charges related to leading a mob in an attack on army installations on May 9.

Earlier today, Abbasi secured a post-arrest bail from the anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi, pertaining to the GHQ attack case. The PTI leader made a last-minute appearance before the specially constituted ATC and submitted an application for interim bail. Judge Malik Asif Hayat granted the bail on a bond of Rs50,000.
The judge also issued a notice to the Station House Officer (SHO) of RA Bazar police station, instructing the provision of complete case records by October 10.
