University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said on Thursday that special attention should be paid to develop leadership qualities in students to enable them to face the odds in life.
Addressing an orientation session for new students, he said the UAF had received more than 60,000 applications for admission this year, of which about 9,000 had been admitted.
The VC said the UAF had been established in 1906 as the first agricultural institute of the subcontinent.
He said more than half of the 30 hostels of the university had been allocated for female students who also had over 50 enrollment.
The deans of agriculture, veterinary sciences, animal husbandry, food, sciences and agricultural engineering shared the importance and plans of their faculties.
