LAHORE:

The bodies of three children were fished out of the canal on Thursday, but the body of a girl has yet to found even after 5 days. Yesterday, the search operation continued throughout the day and the bodies of the three children were buried in the local cemetery after post-mortem. The children were allegedly thrown into the canal by their father, reportedly over a domestic dispute.

According to details, Kahna resident Azeem allegedly cast his four children into the Lilyani canal, reportedly out of anger following a quarrel with his wife. A rescue operation was launched to search for the bodies earlier this week. During the operation, the bodies of three children, 12-year-old Ghulam Sabir, 9-year-old Samia and 2-year-old Ayesha, were taken out from the canal on Wednesday. The bodies of the three children were handed over to their families yesterday after a post-mortem.

When the bodies reached home, they were laid to rest in the presence of thousands of mourners, while the body of the fourth child, 5-year-old Nabiah, has yet to be found even after five days. The rescue operation has been going on for the past 4 days and the operation will be resume in daylight.
