RAWALPINDI:

The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has served notices on the owners of seven YouTube channels and marketing companies for advertising illegal housing societies, prima facie with intent to mislead the public.

These entities include Tajir International, Property Nama, Raja Ishtiaq Creative Real Estate, Octa Plus, MBK Daily Routine Vlogs, Manzoor Hussain Official, and Gondal Group.

An RDA spokesperson disclosed that these YouTube channels were found to be promoting illegal housing schemes including Agro Farm, Faisal Hills Phase-II, New Airport Town, Ruden Enclave, Rawal Enclave, Al-Haram City, and Blue World City, thereby misleading the public.

Advertising such illegal housing schemes without prior approval from the authority was a violation of Rule 46 (1) of the Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules-2021.
