Get lost, Muslim woman

Zubair Faisal Abbasi June 28, 2010

ISLAMABAD: Khaled Ahmed’s piece “Get lost, Muslim woman!” (June 27) is very well-argued. According to Amartya Sen, women’s prosperity for healthy social development is not on the agenda of our legal, economic, and political systems. Very few female voices get incorporated in mainstream public policy. Our education system does not challenge the prevailing status quo with regard to women. It is imperative to keep the development of human capital in mind when making policy decisions.
