Dengue surges in Punjab, 126 new cases reported

Health department reported 126 new confirmed cases of dengue fever in various parts of Punjab in the last 24 hours

The Health Department reported 126 new confirmed cases of dengue fever in various parts of Punjab in the last 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed dengue cases in the province to 3,522 across 36 districts this year.

Lahore remains the hardest-hit with 1,417 cases, followed by Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala, with 854, 462, 173, and 144 cases, respectively. Lahore reported 42 new cases, Rawalpindi 48, Multan 16, Faisalabad 06, and Gujranwala 04 in the last 24 hours. Currently, 120 dengue patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals across the province, with 42 of them in Lahore.
