Robbery at tea hangout

KARACHI:

Patrons of yet another late night tea hangout became victim of muggers seeking easy targets. Per CCTV footage doing rounds on the social media and subsequent police investigations, men were unwinding after a tense day, sipping tea with friends at a restaurant near the Ferozabad police station.

Meanwhile, three armed suspects came riding on a motorcycle. The rider stayed on the seat with the engine running, while the other two went about collecting cash and cell phones at gunpoint, stuffing their loot into a bag before swiftly escaping.

Shocked witnesses recorded the incident and shared the video widely on social media.

For more than 15 hours, law enforcement remained unaware of the situation until news of the hotel robbery was aired on television, prompting a swift police response.

Arshad, one of the victims of the hotel robbery, went to the Firozabad police station to report the crime, leading to the registration of a case.

According to Arshad's account, three armed individuals targeted people sitting outside the hotel. It's worth noting that previous robbery incidents have occurred at various tea shops throughout the city.
