RAWALPINDI:

A man allegedly killed his married daughter in the name of honour in the limits of Sadiqabad police station on Monday.

The police registered a case of murder against the deceased’s parents on the statement of her husband Waseem Shah.

The couple tied the knot three years ago and have a daughter.

“On August 27, my wife and daughter were kidnapped. I was at home when my father-in-law, Shafiq Shah, called late night saying that his daughter and granddaughter were home and that he had killed his daughter. I was shocked and asked about my daughter. Shah replied saying that he would kill anyone who tried to take her from him.”

Waseem said that he called 15 and left home to see his wife and daughter at his father-in-law's residence. “I reached there but found out that my mother-in-law took Noor Sehar to the hospital. When I arrived at the hospital I was told that my wife had succumbed to her injuries.”

Police officials said that they have registered a case and carrying out raids to nab the suspects. The girl has been recovered and handed over to his father.
