Police have collected evidence from the site and registered a case

Two men were killed in a firing incident in Dhok Jaba in the limits of the Airport police station on Friday.

According to the police, the firing incident occurred over a land dispute between two groups. Members of both groups opened fire at each other after a heated argument, killing Sajjad Khan and Taimur Khan on the spot.

The police have collected evidence from the site and registered a case.

The bodies were handed over to the heirs after completing medico-legal formalities. A police force has been deployed in the area to avoid any untoward incident. On the same day, Rawalpindi police in an action against suspected drug peddlers conducted raids in different areas and rounded up 23 accused including two female drug smugglers on recovery of over 38 kgs of hashish. Police said that two female drug smugglers, identified as Zubaida Bibi and Sumaira Bibi, were also arrested.

Separate cases have been registered against all accused while further investigations are under way.
