During a recent guest appearance on the morning show Subh Ka Samaa Madeha Kay Sath, Pakistani veteran actor Hina Khawaja Bayat revealed that she shares a close bond with her former co-star Osman Khalid Butt and called him ‘family’.
On the set, Hina was joined by her colleagues Sabiha Hashmi and Nida Mumtaz as they engaged in long and interesting discussions with host Madeha Naqvi over the one-hour live broadcast.
When Madeha asked the women whether they had ever experienced an instant connection with any of their younger co-stars and begun to think of them as their soul children, Hina immediately answered that she had found a soul child in Osman Khalid Butt very early on when they worked in their first drama serial together.

And you are mine, @HinaKhwajaBayat! https://t.co/uZwwPJ4MSQ
“Even when I worked with Obi for the first time, there was an instant connection,” said the actor who worked with Osman on one of his first television projects, titled Aunn Zara and also starred Maya Ali. The Zindagi Gulzar Hai actor lovingly referred to Osman by his commonly used nickname Obi and also shared how many people, including the Ehd-e-Wafa actor himself, would tell her that she resembled his mother.
“A lot of people used to say that I resemble his mother. He himself said that you resemble my mother. But his mother was French, so I thought, ‘how is that possible?’. But when I saw pictures of his mother, even I was shaken [by the resemblance]. I have such a beautiful connection with him, regardless of whether we talk or don’t talk and months pass by,” confessed the Shehr-e-Zaat actor when elaborating upon the strength of their emotional bond.
Hina ended her point by saying, “Actually, he is my family. Who mera bacha hai (He is my child)” and then flashing a warm smile, which showed that she deeply and sincerely felt that way. When someone shared a clip of this part of the morning show on Twitter, Osman quote-tweeted the tweet and responded, writing: “'He’s my family’. And you are mine!” In addition to Aunn Zara, the two have also worked together on the drama serials Sanam and Aik Nayee Cinderella.
