Man killed for asking debtors for money

Suspects owed the victim Rs1.2 million

KURIANWALA:

Three men allegedly gunned down a man who they owed Rs1.2 million.

Usman, 45, a resident of Jhanda Singh, had been going to buy vegetables in his Dala when Mudassar and Noor Akbar took Rs1.2 million from him, promising Usman to send him abroad.

The suspects threatened to murder Usman when he asked them to return his money.

When Usman lost all hopes of getting his money back, he submitted an application against the suspects with the FIA.

Usman had been on his way to the Sabzi Mandi at 4:00 a.m. when the suspects allegedly shot him dead.

The D-Type Colony Police Station handed over the body to his heirs after the postmortem examination.

A case was registered against the suspect on the statement of the deceased's father.

Police had mounted a search for the suspects.
