Three men die in separate incidents

In one case, adults intervened after children quarrelled while playing in the neighbourhood

Three people were killed while six others injured in separate incidents in the district.

The injured were shifted to the Allied Hospital.

Police seized the bodies and shifted them to the hospital and started searching for the accused.

A quarrel took place while the children of 27-year-old Arif and others were playing in the area of 67/GB Sudhar Chiragabad in the jurisdiction of the Thirkriwala Police Station in which the elders intervened.

Arif died on the spot due to a gunshot wound while 48-year-old Saeed and a passerby Adnan sustained injuries.

Rescue 1122 shifted them to the Allied Hospital.

The SHO of Thikriwala, Hasan Siddique Cheema, reached the spot and took the body of the deceased into custody and shifted it to the hospital for the postmortem examination and started raids for the accused.

During the quarrel over a court case that took place in Chak No. 192/RB in the jurisdiction of Chak Jhumra Police Station, Mudassir, Sohail and others allegedly opened fire on 22-year-old Ali who died on the spot while 22-year-old Mohsin and Ali Raza were injured, who were transferred to the hospital.

The SHO of Chak Jhumra, Asif Butt, reached the spot upon receiving the information about the incident and took possession of the body of Ali Mumtaz and had it shifted to the hospital for the postmortem examination and started raids for the accused.

Police said litigation between the two parties had been going on for a long time.

In yet another case, a man opened fire on his relatives in Chak No. 30/GB, Narwala Road, in the jurisdiction of Sandalbar Police Station.

As a result of the shooting, 18-year-old Abdullah died on the spot while 38-year-old Omar Farooq, 27-year-old Bilal and 60-year-old Akram sustained bullet injuries.

They were shifted to the Allied Hospital.

In the month of May 2022, two men travelling in a car had been shot dead in Chichwatni in broad daylight.

Mian Abdul Wahab, along with his friend, Usman Jutt, had been on his way to the Housing Colony from Gujjar Chowk when three motorcycle riders who were chasing the car opened fire at it with 30-bore pistols.

The bullets hit the rear of the car, and it plowed into another car parked at the roadside.

Finding their targets sitting ducks, the motorcycle riders opened fire on the two youths, killing them on the spot.
