Cleanliness drive launched in villages

372 sanitary workers had been appointed across 124 rural councils

SIALKOT:

Deputy Commissioner Adnan Mehmood Awan announced the commencement of cleanliness initiative, ‘Ab Gaon Chamkein Gay,’ spanning 1,568 villages in the district.

Speaking at the Sialkot District Numberdars convention, he revealed that 372 sanitary workers had been appointed across 124 rural councils, with an additional acquisition of 124 loader rickshaws. To ensure the program’s success, committees have been established at the union council level, comprising representatives from various pertinent departments, including Numdar, UC Secretary, Revenue, and Health. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Revenue Muhammad Iqbal, Additional SP Zia, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Sialkot Ghulam Sarwar, and Numberdarans Association District Sialkot GM Masoomi, along with numberdarans from across the district, actively participated in the event.
