In a heart-wrenching incident, the joyful atmosphere of a wedding ceremony turned into a scene of despair as a 12-year-old boy fell victim to a stray bullet amidst reckless celebratory firing near Orangi Town's Bukhari Colony. Despite the existing ban on aerial firing in Karachi, the somber incident unfolded as festivities spiraled out of control.

The young life claimed by this senseless act of celebration was identified as Omer, son of Saeed Mohammad, a close relative of the groom. Omer, the youngest among his three siblings, was a fourth-grade student, his aspirations and dreams now tragically cut short.

According to Zahid Lodhi, the Station House Officer (SHO), the incident unfolded due to the reckless firing of small arms during the wedding celebrations. The innocent child's body was quickly transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, while law enforcement promptly initiated an investigation into the incident.

At the scene of the crime, a specialized unit was dispatched to gather crucial evidence that will aid in shedding light on the circumstances leading to the unfortunate incident. The police are actively pursuing the responsible parties, though no arrests have been made at this time.
