In a recent anti-crime operation conducted across the city, Karachi Police engaged in 14 encounters with criminal elements. These confrontations resulted in the neutralization of one robber and the apprehension of 19 others who sustained injuries. The spokesperson for the Karachi Police highlighted that the intensive operation spanned various districts and involved a total of 16 illegal weapons, along with vehicles and motorcycles that were confiscated from the arrested individuals. The seized weapons have been submitted for forensic examination to further support ongoing investigations.
Furthermore, the concerted efforts of the Karachi Police yielded significant results. Over the course of the past week, a comprehensive series of raids were executed in the East, West, and South zones of Karachi, culminating in the apprehension of 862 suspects. Among these operations, a resolute crackdown on illicit drugs led to the confiscation of 52.45 kilograms of hashish, heroin, and 2.253 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine - substances with an estimated market value in the millions of rupees.
Addressing the issue of street crime and public safety, Karachi Police seized more than 138 illegal firearms and ammunition frequently utilized in incidents involving citizen victimization and other criminal activities. Notably, this endeavor contributed to the recovery of a total of 64 stolen motorcycles and six vehicles, all of which were promptly taken into custody.
