Eight boards declare SSC results at once

Of 92,902 students who took the Matric exam in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 55,755 passed

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Boards of Intermediate & Secondary Education have unveiled the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC-1) for the year 2023, marking a significant milestone.

A formal event commemorated the occasion at the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar, with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan attending the event as the chief guest.

In a historic first for the province, the matriculation results of all boards were simultaneously announced. The event unveiled the achievements of students across various districts under different education boards.

The results reflected an impressive success rate across the different boards. Under the BISE Peshawar, the overall success rate stood at 86 percent. Adan Shahid emerged as the topper in the science group, securing an outstanding 1,086 marks. Lababa Alam and Aneeba Asad followed closely, securing the second and third positions with 1,083 and 1,082 marks respectively.

Similarly, the BISE Abbottabad reported an 82 percent success rate. Amama Noor clinched the first position in the Science group with 1,064 marks, while Toba Murtaza and Fakhta Sadiq secured the second and third positions with 1,059 and 1,055 marks respectively.

Under the BISE Bannu, an impressive 87 percent success rate was reported. Javed Khan from the Science group attained the overall first position with 1,056 marks. Rizwanullah and Rabia Saadullah Khan secured the second and third positions with 1,053 and 950 marks respectively.

The BISE DI Khan witnessed an overall success rate of 88.07 percent. Saira Bibi and Dua Zainab from the Science group shared the first position with 1,064 marks. Iman Saleem secured the second position with 1,063 marks, while Momina Sadia and Hadia Zainab jointly secured the third position with 1,060 marks.

In line with the trend, the BISE Kohat achieved an impressive 87.45 percent overall success rate. Syed Adan Raza led the Science group results with an exceptional 1,048 marks, followed by Ahmad Ali and Minhal Naeem securing the second and third positions with 1,045 and 1,040 marks respectively.

Under the Malakand Board, the success rate reached an impressive 91 percent. Muhammad Farooq excelled in the Science group with 1,083 marks, securing the first position. Mehreen Hamish and Sabhat Malik stood at the second and third positions with 1,081 and 1,079 marks respectively.

The BISE Mardan reported an 87 percent overall success rate. Maheen Chand and Sarah Khan clinched the first position with 1,075 marks, while Bismah Rehman, Shaista Tahir, and Nida Iqbal shared the second position with 1,074 marks.

Equally notable was the BISE Swat’s 88 percent overall success rate. Jawad Alam topped the Science category with 1,073 marks, followed by Irfanullah securing the second position with 1,072 marks, while Shakirullah and Adil Muneeb Ahmad jointly clinched the third position with 1,070 marks.

Addressing the ceremony, Caretaker Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan congratulated the students on their achievements. He emphasized the significance of the education sector in driving development, noting that despite limited resources and mandate, the caretaker provincial government allocated Rs4.5 billion for various education projects in the development budget for the current financial year.
