DIJKOT:

A 35-year-old man, identified as Muhammad Shakeel, met a mysterious end during a visit allegedly to his girlfriend's residence.

The incident unfolded in the Green Town area, prompting a thorough investigation by local authorities.

As per the preliminary reports, Shakeel, a resident of Bhaiyawala, had gone to meet the woman residing in Green Town.

Shakeel's health rapidly deteriorated while at the residence, ultimately leading to his demise.

Local residents acted quickly to transport Shakeel to Allied Hospital, where medical personnel struggled to save his life. Despite their efforts, Shakeel passed away.

Sargodha Road police swiftly intervened by taking possession of Shakeel's body. The police then followed necessary protocol, transferring the body to a mortuary unit for further examination.

An official investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the death.

Preliminary findings from law enforcement suggest that Shakeel had ingested some form of medication during his visit.

This act is believed to have played a pivotal role in exacerbating his health issues, ultimately leading to his passing.

Authorities are awaiting the results of the post-mortem examination, which is expected to shed light on the exact cause of Shakeel's sudden demise.

As the investigation unfolds, police are striving to uncover the truth behind this mysterious incident. Further actions will be taken based on the findings from the post-mortem report and the ongoing police inquiry.

Earlier in May 2021, a young man who came to meet a girl and jumped from the third floor of a building for fear of being caught by her brother died at a hospital in Dijkot.

Hassan Farooq, 22, a resident of Awami Colony, went to see the girl at her house.

When the girl’s brother came, Farooq jumped from the roof of the house instead of running away from the door.

As a result, he was severely injured. Rescue 1122 personnel rushed him to a hospital after providing initial medical treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The relatives of the deceased took his body to their house without informing the police.

After the news was broadcast on the media, Jhang Bazaar police reached the spot, seized the body of the deceased and handed it over to his heirs after taking necessary action.

SHO Jhang Bazaar Inspector Amir Waheed said Hassan Farooq had gone to the house of Hasnain to meet his girlfriend, where he jumped from the roof for fear of being caught.

He was received medical treatment at Allied Hospital. His family did not want any action.

Earlier this year in March, five men were arrested for beating a motorcycle mechanic.
