Three women among 15 drug peddlers held

Six-member gang involved in tampering with papers of stolen bikes busted

The south zone police carried out an operation and apprehended 15 suspects, including three women, allegedly involved in supplying drugs to students in educational institutions. The police also recovered firearms, narcotics and other contraband from their possession.

According to the police spokesperson, the arrested drug suppliers are associated with the Anmol alias Pinky and Dr Baloch gang. These drug traffickers operate in posh areas and target schools specially in DHA and Clifton.

The confiscated items include significant quantity of ice, crystal meth, hashish, and other banned medicines. The arrested individuals were part of a criminal network that utilized a WhatsApp group for drug distribution.

DIG south Irfan Baloch emphasised that the police are actively collaborating with educational institutions to combat this menace and aggressively working to break the drug supply chain.

AVLC

The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) police have apprehended a six-member gang involved in tampering documents of stolen motorcycles and subsequently sellin them in the other parts of the upcountry.

The police have claimed having recovered six stolen motorcycles from their possession.

According to SHO AVLC Nasir Mehmood, the arrests were made on the basis of confidential information and using advanced technology.

The individuals taken into custody have been identified as Fazlur Rehman (alias Faisal, alias Party), Danish Shakeel (alias Battery), Abdullah (alias Akbar Baloch), Qari Attaullah, Umar Pathan, and Umar Saraiki.

The gang primarily operated in Clifton, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, New Karachi, Nazimabad, Korangi, and Shah Faisal Colony. They used to make fake registration documents of stolen motorcycles and then transported via buses to Turbat (Balochistan), Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for sale.

The AVLC police are conducting raids to apprehend other accomplices of the gang. The six recovered motorcycles had been stolen from Aziz Bhatti, New Karachi Industrial Area, Baldia, Clifton, and City Court regions. Cases related to these thefts have been registered.
