Punjab police seeks Hassan Niazi’s custody

Niazi was arrested a few days back from Abbottabad and handed over to Quetta police

Punjab Police has sought the custody of Hassan Niazi, a lawyer by profession and nephew of PTI chief Imran Khan, wanted in May 9 Jinnah House attack from Quetta Police.

Niazi was arrested a few days back from Abbottabad while reportedly hiding at a friend's place. The KPK police had handed him over to Quetta police.

The process of declaring him a proclaimed offender (PO) had been initiated by Lahore police for he had been absconding along with over 200 other accused persons.

On May 9, initially PTI workers after Imran Khan's arrest from Islamabad had gathered at six different points in the provincial metropolis before gathering outside Lahore Corps Commanders House.
