PPP Chairperson says Sindh govt programme designed to give propriety rights to flood affectees

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has announced the launch of interest-free loans programme in Sindh. The PPP chairman was addressing a ceremony held to award houses to Sindh flood affectees in Ghotki on Wednesday.

He said that the Sindh government has started a programme to give propriety rights to build houses two weeks ago. Bilawal announced that the government would erect cemented houses in areas where the dwellings were collapsed due to rain and floods.

He said Sindh was the worst-hit province when the catastrophic floods struck Pakistan last year. He said women would be empowered in Sindh. He said that the provincial government is giving interest-free loans across the province.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said that 24 out of 27 districts of Sindh were hit by floods. He said the most affected segment of the society were farmers. He said due to the efforts of PPP Chairman Bilawal, the UN secretary general came to Pakistan to see the large-scale destruction caused by the floods. He said that the Sindh government got funds for the building of schools and hospitals. He said that the Asian Bank loan has been used to improve schools across the province.
