Rawalpindi Commissioner Liaqat Ali Chatha has pledged to establish a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will set aside seats for the children of Pakistan Sweet Homes at Divisional Public School.
Commissioner Chatha recently welcomed a delegation of students led by Zamard Khan, the patron-in-chief of Pakistan Sweet Homes. The meeting provided an opportunity for the students to offer a comprehensive overview of Pakistan Sweet Homes' operational framework. They also extended an invitation to Commissioner Chatha to visit their institution.
The students shared a detailed account of Pakistan Sweet Home's origins as a Baitul Mal project in 2009, which was initiated after a child from Swat, KPK, was entrusted to Zamard Khan's care. Over the years, this initiative has evolved into a network of five branches across Pakistan. The organisation's dedicated teams focus on regions that are heavily impacted by poverty and climate crises.
They provide more than 10,000 children with essential support, including food, educational access, vital medical care, and treatment. As a registered orphanage under the SECP, Pakistan Sweet Homes has significantly transformed the lives of numerous young individuals who might otherwise have faced dire circumstances.
