One killed, three injured in robbery bids

LAHORE:

A man was killed while three others were injured for offering resistance to robbers in separate incidents.

Muhammad Younas, a resident of Taj Colony Street No. 8, Sargodha Road, along with his friend, Mian Usman, had been on their way back home on their motorcycle.

When they were about to hit the Sheikhupura Road within the limits of Madina Town Police Station, two alleged bandits riding on a motorcycle opened fire on Younas for standing up to them. He was shifted to the Allied Hospital where he died of his injuries.

RPO Abid Khan and CPO Usman Akram Gondal took notice of the incident and sought a report from the SP of Madina Town and ordered arrest of the accused.

In the Doctors Chowk area of the D-Type Colony, two motorcyclists shot at Subhan and stole his mobile phone.

Four men allegedly robbed Ansar Ali and his friend of cash, mobile phones and a motorcycle on Satyana Road. They shot at Ansar Ali as he made an attempt to stave off the bandits.

Sufyan, 21, a resident of 51/GB, had been driving a tractor trolley when he was shot and injured by robbers near 6/GB within the limits of the Nishatabad Police Station.

The injured was shifted to the Allied Hospital.
