Governor Kakar commends force’s role in upholding peace

Governor of Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Kakar, paid tribute to the exemplary sacrifices of Balochistan police officers during a ceremony held at the Central Police Office in Quetta on Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Police (Martyrdom Day of Police).

In his address, Governor Kakar praised the outstanding role played by the police, Pak Army, Frontier Corps, Levies, and other law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace and security in the province. He commended the Balochistan police for their dedication in countering elements hostile to the country and their relentless efforts in eliminating terrorism and other crimes.

The Governor emphasized that the hundreds of Balochistan police martyrs who laid down their lives to uphold peace and protect the lives and property of citizens are the true heroes of the nation, and their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

Speaking at the event, Additional Inspector General (IG) Police, Jawad Ahmad Dogar, acknowledged the bravery of more than 1,000 Balochistan Police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the fight against criminal elements and for the establishment of law and order. He highlighted that the sacrifices made by these martyrs have secured a safer tomorrow for the country by giving up their today.

Expressing gratitude, Jawad Ahmad Dogar mentioned that the welfare of the families of these martyrs remains a top priority for the Balochistan Police. He also appreciated the Balochistan government for increasing the Shuhada Package, which provides support to the families of fallen officers. The ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including former Senator Roshan Khursheed Bharucha
