Population dept to implement video monitoring of offices

Minister says media campaign will be launched to raise public awareness about Population Welfare Dept

LAHORE:

Punjab Minister for Population Welfare Dr Jamal Nasir has ordered the implementation of online live video monitoring for all Population Welfare Department offices across of Punjab

Additionally, a central monitoring and control room will be established to oversee operations.

During his visit to the office of Director General Population Welfare, the minister received briefings from Secretary Salman Ijaz and Director General Saman Raiy on the department’s functioning, budget, and tasks. Dr Jamal Nasir emphasised the importance of citizen engagement and directed the establishment of a four-digit helpline operational for 12 hours daily to provide necessary information and guidance.

Furthermore, a comprehensive media campaign will be launched to raise public awareness about the services offered by the department.

To enhance the capabilities of the workforce, the minister stressed the need for a structured training system.

He inaugurated a new studio in the Population Welfare department to produce public awareness messages and programs.

Promoting the slogan ‘small family prosperous Pakistan,’ Dr Jamal Nasir underscored the importance of population control.
