Affordable electricity promised

Ensuring the provision of affordable electricity remains the topmost priority of the government, affirmed Adviser to the Prime Minister and PML-N Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) President, Engr Amir Muqam.

In line with their commitment, the government is set to begin work on the Thakot Batagram district Grid Station soon, a crucial step towards delivering cost-effective electricity services to the people.

During a meeting with representatives of the Batagram Jago (wakeup) Movement, the delegation highlighted issues such as load shedding and low voltage in the area. Engr Amir Muqam assured them of prompt action, sharing that a tender for the 132 Thakot-Alai grid station had already been issued at a cost of Rs600 million, and construction would soon commence.

Moreover, he informed the delegation about the approval for the reconstruction of Chattar Batagram feeder, and further discussions would be held to address load shedding concerns.
