KURIANWALA:

Adil Hussain, a resident of Chak No. 527/GB, who had sustained serious injuries in an armed attack, died of his injuries at the hospital, police said.

Tarkhani police reached the spot and took possession of the body of the deceased and handed it over to his relatives after the postmortem examination and registered a case against four suspects under the provisions of murder.

In other incidents, suspect Nadeem and others allegedly shot and injured a police constable Naeem's brother Shehzad in Chak No. 142/GB, while Muhammad Yusuf was shot and injured allegedly by Aqib and others due to an old grudge in 273/GB, police said. Both the injured were shifted to the hospital.

Meanwhile, a young married woman allegedly attempted to commit suicide due to a domestic dispute, police said.

She was shifted to a hospital where doctors had been doing their best to save her life.

Police arrived at the hospital and opened their investigation into the incident.

The woman, 24, is a resident of Azhar Town, 203/RB Mananwala.

Separately, a married woman sustained severe burn injuries and was taken to the Allied Hospital.

Rizwana Maqbool, a resident of Malikpur Datta Nagar Street No.2, had been boiling milk on a stove at her house when her clothes caught fire.

Rescue 1122 provided her with the first aid at her home and then transported her to the hospital where her condition was reported to be stable.
