KURIANWALA:

Dozens of people protested against the Roshanwala Police Station for not registering a case against the accused who had allegedly shot at and injured a villager.

The protestors also brought the victim to the protest in a cot since he had been unable to walk or stand.

The protest took place at the District Council Chowk.

The SHO of Kotwali reached the spot and negotiated with the protestors after which they got dispersed.

Qaiser Shahzad, a resident of Chak No. 244/RB, had been shot and injured by the accused a few days ago over a petty issue.

The victim had filed an application with the Roshanwala Police Station to register a case against the accused, but the Roshanwala Police allegedly took no action on the application.

This delay provoked the villagers who staged the protest at the District Council Chowk against the SHO of Roshanwala Police Station.

During the protest the District Council Chowk remained blocked for traffic.
