Man arrested in quadruple murder case

Suspect’s rivalry with Rana group has caused 18 deaths

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab arrested a proclaimed-offender (PO) and terror suspect involved in the murder of four people and other crimes on Eid in the area of Kharrianwala.

CTD units conducted raids at different locations on Tuesday and shifted the accused to an undisclosed location for interrogation. Police are reportedly expressing ignorance about the arrest of the PO.

According to police sources, a CTD team led by a DSP conducted raids in Haripur Hazara and arrested proclaimed-offender Shehbaz Luna, who was wanted in different cases including the murder of four people, including two children, on the Eid day within the limits of Kharrianwala police station. The victims were identified as named 36-year-old Amir, 12-year-old Ali Hasan, six-year-old Dua Fatima and seven-year-old Muzfira. Weapons were also seized during the raid.

Shehbaz had a deep-seated enmity with the Rana group which has led to the murders of 18 people so far during the past three years.

The victims include a constable in district kacherri, two accused, the case plaintiff and witnesses.

Meanwhile, the police and CTD officers are expressing ignorance about the arrest of Shehbaz Luna.
