Three DHQ Hospital guards arrested in Sargodha after two-day-old infant goes missing from nursery

Three guards of the DHQ Hospital Sargodha were arrested after a two-day-old infant was found missing from the nursery ward of the hospital.

The infant, who had been born at the house of its father Mohammad Riaz in a village on the suburb of Sargodha, was admitted to the nursery at the DHQ Hospital after its condition had deteriorated soon after the birth.

No sooner had the infant been admitted to the hospital than his father found that his child had gone missing.

It could not be known how the infant had gone missing considering the fact that the baby was accompanied by its father. One also wonders how come the infant was left unsupervised.

The hospital staff was alerted when Muhammad Riaz and a woman who had brought the infant to the hospital raised an alarm.

Every nook and cranny of the hospital was searched for the missing infant but in vain.

It was but natural that the incident caused a commotion in the length and breadth of the DHQ Hospital.

At this time the police were summoned. A team from the Factory Area Police Station arrived at the hospital.

Considering the gravity of the situation, the DPO of Sargodha, Muhammad Faisal Kamran, also arrived at the hospital and personally questioned the hospital staff besides meeting the infant’s father who had started having seizures.

Police registered a case an unknown man and woman.

Police said the obtained the CCTV footage from the hospital, but it was blurred, and it was impossible to trace the movement of any person.
