Police deny reports of tourist being threatened by unidentified persons

BALAKOT:

Mansehra police have denied reports of a tourist being threatened by unidentified individuals on the Babusar top and clarified that the incident occurred within the limits of the Jal police, which is located in Gilgit-Baltistan.

A viral video circulating on social media has captured an alarming incident where an armed local threatened the life of a harmless tourist, with some users wrongly associating the incident with Kaghan Valley.

However, Mansehra police emphasised that it is incorrect to link the video with Kaghan Valley. The incident involving the tourist took place within the limits of Gilgit-Baltistan and a case has been registered at the Jal police station in Diamer district.

A search for the accused has been initiated, and Diamer police have announced a reward of Rs0.2 for providing information about the accused involved in the incident.
