SSWMB starts Muharram cleanup

Instructions issued for cleaning of procession routes besides mosques, imambargahs

KARACHI:

Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah, the Managing Director of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB), led a meeting focused on preparations for Muharram-ul-Harram. During the gathering, he directed all concerned officers and private company officials to prioritise cleaning activities for imambargahs, mosques, processions, and assembly routes. He emphasised the importance of spraying lime, establishing emergency camps, and addressing cleanliness-related issues with imambargah administrators promptly.

To ensure a smooth process during Majlis and processions, Shah underscored the need for a dedicated team to clean areas around imambargahs and procession routes.
