President Arif Alvi expressed Pakistan's eagerness to enhance bilateral ties with the Philippines, Iran, and Rwanda in various areas, including trade, economy, investment, culture, and people-to-people interactions.
During separate meetings with the ambassadors-designates, the president welcomed them and discussed the prospects of cooperation.
In his conversation with the Ambassador-designate of the Philippines, Maria Agnes M Cervantes, President Alvi emphasized Pakistan's strong interest in expanding bilateral relations across all areas of cooperation. He highlighted the importance of exploring new avenues to diversify bilateral trade and economic collaboration.
Regarding the Iranian Ambassador-designate to Pakistan, Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam, President Alvi underscored the significance of promoting economic engagement and mutually beneficial exchanges between the two countries.
He stressed the need to utilize established institutional mechanisms and foster collaborations within the private sector. The president also called for strengthening existing institutional mechanisms and operationalizing the Border Sustenance Marketplaces to further expand economic ties.
During his meeting with the High Commissioner-designate of Rwanda to Pakistan, James Kimonyo, President Alvi emphasized the need to strengthen trade and economic relations. He highlighted the importance of facilitating visits between the business communities of both countries to boost bilateral trade.
