App enables online offerings for shrines

Domestic, foreign visitors, devotees will be able to submit offerings online at the shrines as per their convenience

LAHORE:

The Punjab Auqaf Department has launched an online mobile application enabling online charity and offerings for shrines.

Through the Nazarana Online app, domestic and foreign visitors and devotees will be able to submit offerings online at the shrines as per their convenience.

Provincial Auqaf Secretary Dr Tahir Raza Bukhari said while talking to officers of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in a meeting that the modern system would make the collection of donations more transparent.

The money received from the country and abroad through the online payment portal will be spent on the construction and development of shrines and the welfare of visiting devotees.

The secretary was given a briefing on the online donation portal by PITB officials.

He said on the occasion that an effective strategy had been formulated for security of shrines and surveillance.
