US Consul General William K Makaneole visited Okara district with Political and Economic Chief Kathleen Jablonski, Economic Specialist Amina Anis and Communication Specialist Rida Rashid to review progress on socio-economic development projects.
DC Dr Muhammad Zeeshan Hanif welcomed the delegation upon their arrival in Okara on Wednesday and briefed them on the measures taken to improve the education and health, measures to develop agriculture and steps to facilitate transgender and special persons.
Dr Hanif also informed the delegation about measures to introduce modern trends in the social sector, the allotment of land for new school buildings and the construction of a new medical college.
