ISLAMABAD:

The Pakistan Army has successfully constructed and made fully functional bridges over the Mastuj-Shandur Canal.

These bridges were urgently needed due to severe damage caused to the road from Mastuj to Shandur, resulting from flooding caused by melting glaciers.

The local population and tourists were facing significant difficulties due to the damaged road. Responding swiftly, Pakistan Army initiated the construction of bridges on the nullah, completing the task in the shortest possible time.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of Pakistan Army, the wooden bridge has been open for traffic since July 5, while the steel bridge became operational on July 8.

The construction of these bridges aims to alleviate the challenges faced by tourists and locals attending the Shandur festival, considering various factors such as rain, glacier melting, and traffic flow.
