KARACHI:

Mayor Murtaza Wahab has announced plans to address the shortage of cemetery space in the city.

A 200-acre plot of land has been allocated in the Keamari district for the construction of a new graveyard, and development work will commence soon in the near future. Additionally, efforts are underway to acquire another site for a cemetery in the Malir district.

Wahab made this announcement during a meeting held in his office to discuss the current situation of cemeteries and the construction of new burial grounds in the city.

Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad, Deputy Commissioner District Keamari Ghulam Qadir Talpur, Focal Person Minister of Local Government Sindh Karamullah Waqasi, and other officials were present at the meeting.
