Three accused named in police report for killing brothers resisting harassment

Two persons were killed in separate incidents in the district.

Irfan, a mentally challenged young man, a resident of Chak No. 7 JB Baseline in the jurisdiction of Nishatabad Police Station, was allegedly being teased by suspects Azim, Umar Daraz and Sajid.

When Irfan and his brother Imran objected over being treated rudely, the suspects allegedly thrashed Irfan with sticks, seriously injuring him. He was rushed to the Allied Hospital where he died of his injuries.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, the DSP and SHO of the Nishatabad Police Station, Mian Muneeb and Arslan Bari, respectively, reached the spot and shifted the body to the Allied Hospital for a postmortem examination. On Imran's statement, police registered a case against the nominated suspects.
