The Punjab government has decided to take action against theatre producers, owners and artistes who perform obscene acts.
Information and Culture Secretary Ali Nawaz Malik told a delegation of journalists that the amount of artiste support fund had been increased from Rs8 million to Rs10 million. He said a list of 2,400 artistes was being scrutinised so that only the deserving ones benefited from the fund.
