Pakistani heartthrob plays leader of a specialist unit of the British Indian Army in show

The BBC has released the trailer for series 2 of World on Fire, which also features Pakistani heartthrob Ahad Raza Mir. The series sees Ahad play Rajib, a fearless and determined leader of a specialist unit of the British Indian Army during World War II.

He welcomes someone to the British Indian Army, and in a follow-up shot, he is seen dodging bullets and bombs. The trailer is only 41-seconds-long and Ahad makes the cut, making his role a significant one, despite being that of a supporting character’s. Ahad will feature alongside the show’s OG cast including Lesley Manville (Robina), Jonah Hauer-King (Harry), Julia Brown (Lois), and Zofia Wichlacz (Kasia).

Among other fresh faces joining the show this season are Mark Bonnar, who will play the mysterious Sir James Danemere, Gregg Sulkin, essaying brave but reckless RAF pilot, and Miriam Schiweck, as a German teenage member of the Band of German Maidens.
