KARACHI:

In the hearing at the Judicial Magistrate South in Karachi City Court, the murder case of eye specialist Dr Birbal was discussed. Unfortunately, the police could not apprehend the perpetrators responsible for Dr Birbal's death. Acknowledging their inability, the police presented a report to the court, requesting that the case be categorised as A-Class.

The investigating officer admitted their failure in capturing the accused and mentioned being assigned to a different position. Consequently, a new investigating officer will take charge of the case. The court requested a progress report from the new officer and adjourned the hearing until July 4.

The police reported that Dr Birbal was murdered on March 30. The plaintiff's lawyer criticised the police for not taking the case seriously. Despite its high-profile nature, the police submitted an A-Class report. It is distressing that a doctor was fatally shot in broad daylight. Additionally, the investigating officer has been absent from court proceedings since the case was registered. After issuing notices, the officer finally appeared and presented an A-Class report.
