Alvi for boosting ties with Korea, Sri Lanka

President says time ripe to enhance economic, cultural cooperation

President Dr Arif Alvi has emphasised the need for enhanced economic, trade, and cultural cooperation with South Korea and Sri Lanka to strengthen bilateral ties.

During separate meetings with the outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Suh Sangpyo and the outgoing High Commissioner of Sri Lanka Vice Admiral (r) Mohan Wijewickrama, President Alvi expressed Pakistan's high regard for its multifaceted relationship with both nations.

He highlighted the collaboration between the two countries in various domains, including politics, economy, science, culture, and people-to-people connections.

The President emphasised Pakistan's openness to business and investment from its friends and partners, extending a special invitation for Korean investment across different sectors.

He also emphasised the importance of promoting cultural ties, inviting Korean tourists to visit Pakistan's captivating mountaineering and religious tourism sites, particularly those associated with Buddhism and the Gandhara Civilization.
