YouTube wants to make dubbing easier for videos in other languages with the help of AI. In collaboration with Aloud, an AI-powered dubbing service, the tool will provide an automatic transcription that can be reviewed and edited. This will then be used for translation and dubbing.

According to YouTube's Amjad Hanif, the platform has already tested this feature with “hundreds” of creators. Aloud currently supports only a “few” languages, like English, Portuguese and Spanish, with “more to come."

YouTube is “working to make translated audio tracks sound like the creator’s voice, with more expression, and lip sync,” Hanif says.

The useful dubbing tool will help the growing number of YouTube creators to easily dub their videos that can be watched all over the world.
