Medical, dental National Registration Examination to be held in August

Candidates holding provisional licenses issued by PM&DC can register for NRE, around 300 scholarships offered

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council is all set to conduct the National Registration Examination (NRE) in August 2023.

The medical and dental examinations will be held in major cities of the country, namely Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar. It will be conducted by the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) under PM&DC supervision.

Only candidates holding provisional licenses issued by the regulatory body can register for the NRE while the examination syllabus can be found on the PM&DC website. Further information, including eligibility criteria, registration procedures, and syllabus can be found at www.pmdc.pk.

Around 301 eligible students will be given financial assistance under the PM&DC’s scholarship program. The authority has specified that all students who qualify for scholarships will receive the second installment of the same in the first week of July 2023.

The NRE for foreign medical graduates is designed to allow aspiring professionals to showcase their knowledge and skills, paving the way for their future success.
