Regulatory body suggested for Sindh Building Control Authority
Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Shah said on Monday that it is necessary to form a governing body for Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) to solve the problems of the people and for transparency.
He was presiding over a high-level meeting of SBCA in which Additional Chief Secretary Local Government Najam Ahmad Shah, DG SBCA Yasir Shar, Additional Director General SBCA Engineer Benish Shabbir and other officers participated.
In the meeting, a proposal was made to form a Regional Building Control Authority (RBCA) under which a mechanism should be devised to check the work of the Building Control Authority.
