In a post on her Instagram and Twitter accounts, Kajol shared a note stating that she is currently facing one of the toughest trials of her life. Consequently, she will be stepping away from social media for a while. Notably, she also archived all her previous posts on Instagram.

Additionally, Kajol has an upcoming web series titled The Good Wife in her pipeline. It is an Indian adaptation of the renowned American courtroom drama of the same name and is directed by Suparn Verma. The series is set to be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.
